The receptive, whose movement is directed downwards, is above; the creative, whose movement tends upward,
is below. The influences of both trigrams are in harmony, so that all things spring forth and thrive.This hexagram is associated with the first months (in the northern hemisphere, February-March) in the course of which the powerful energies of nature prepare the new spring.
